RE: Why was I born addicted to guns.
I can honestly say that I regret getting rid of every gun that I've gotten rid of!
Fortunately, the one that means the most to me, IS still in MY gun safe!
It is a Savage O/U .410/.22 LR! It is not worth a lot of money, but it is priceless to me!
My dad had bought me a used, singleshot .410 and I traded it to a friend, plus five dollars, for this Savage O/U.
My dad got mad when he found out that I traded my gun, and I got my arse whipped good when he found out I gave my friend five bucks, to boot! It really wasn't the trade, but I just had not told the whole truth!
That was almost 40 years ago! Dad has been gone for 31 years now, and I lost contact with my "best friend" about 25 years ago! But this memory is as fresh as if it happened yesterday! I seldom ever shoot this gun, but I thank God that I have not been stupid enough to ever get rid of this one!
