Default Venison Stew recipe

Butch's Venison Stew

2 lbs of venison cut into cubes
potatoes
carrots
celery
1 med onion, quartered
2-3 cups of water
1 package of McCormick's Beef Stew seasoning
1 package of Lipton Onion Soup mix
a few shakes of some garlic powder
a Tbsp of flour, sprinkled in gradually to thicken broth

- Lightly brown the venisonslowly in a fry pan and season w/ salt & pepper, then putthem into theslow cooker
- Add potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, and whatever else you want
- Set slow cooker on low (real low - "keep warm"- i.e. not even 150*)
- Let the stew mix "get happy" (a la Emeril) and slowly turn up throughout the day.
- Cooking time: 6 hours
