I haven't shot my recurve in nearly ten years but I'll take that bet. Shooting a recurve at 20 yards and hitting a pop can 9/10 times is nota feat worth bragging about.
Washington Hunter,
Are'nt you like 20 yrs old? So you haven't shot your recurve since you were 10 years old, but some how you think you can hit a coke can 9/10 times at 20yds?
That is so laughable it's almost stupid.. Every trad archer on this forum immediately knew you were full of it when you posted that...
If in fact you can do that, well by gosh, you are one of the best trad shooters in the country.... You should have no problem then shooting a 280+ on a NFAA 300 round....
I'm 18, actually. Though you are correct, I haven't shotmy recurve since I was 10. I may have picked it up once or twice since then, but it just hasn't interested me since then.
Believe what you want, it wasn't
that difficult for me.I started shooting one when I was six. By the time I was 10 I could put a half dozen arrows into a baseball sized target at 20 yards.
Its not that difficult. That's just your traditional shooter elitism showing through, trying to make shooting a recurve seem like an impossible task for someone who hasn't done it before or who hasn't done it in awhile. You can think I'm full of it all you like, but it doesn't change the fact that I
can shoot a recurve well, I just choose to shoot a compound now.
