cma - MY question was a trick one - everyones idea of "primitve" is different at best. You say pre 1800 but allow miniballs - not in common use until after that date. Others may feel percussion should be allowed. First inlines actually showed up in the early 1800's. There is no answer to what is primitive.

2 seasons - gun and bow. I use an inline in gun when not using my bow, but continue to hunt as I do with my bow. With few exceptions, my shots are seldom ones I would not take with my bow. And I always have venison.
