Yeah, it would slow the bullet down a couple hundred fps and would therefore be a better choice for up close shots. Its also better on larger game. I use the 130's on deer, mostly for the lighter recoil, but also because I can take a 30 yard or 300 yard shot and know that my bullet is going to be on target.
