Actually I do my homework very well considering I don't even live there. Enough to know:

3. Know how to manage herds? Of course everything is relative, but if you are a resident you know all too well WYF&G issues too many mule deer tags and the recent quality of bucks has declined as a result. My region G hunt in 02 was poor. The quality has declined there immensely.
Region G is one of the fastest developing areas in all of Wyoming. The Anticline is bringing in tons of people. The deer are all being greatly pressured. Several studies are being done by the G&F to determine how deer and antelope can get along with all of the mineral development. Chances are the deer moved to different areas than you may have found them in the past. Also, animals all across WY were hit hard by the drought. G&F instated the 4 point or better rule in many areas, and shortened some of the seasons. It was a very effective move IMO. Here are some photos taken this summer in the unit directly south of region G that "gives out too many tags" (general area- anyone can hunt there). Looks like the deer are all doing pretty dang good to me.
