That is what I thought at first. It was close to the Mullins exotic ranch on 183. But I was on private land that is not fenced. They also looked to small for Axis, but could have been some young ones that got loose. I just found it odd. You are probably right. I couldnt see them very well. The first one was about 100 yrds off and I had low powered specs. The others came late in the day and were even further.
Some thing I did noticed was the size of the deer. Much bigger than when I use to hunt the hill country years ago. I use to hunt junction and it seemed all the deer were little, but the ones I saw in Austin were huge. I wish I had a gun. I was simply watching.<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
