I don't like your tone... moron... you're too stupid to realize that a more efficient bullet = better performance.
Old .30-30
New .30-30
Yeah I guess 7 inch flatter trajectory and 500 more ft/lbs at 200 yards is just "nothing much"
Well, not as much performance advantage as appears at first glance, Brutal. Look at your charts again, the 'drop' comparison is deceptive. The newer ammo is zeroed at about 200 yards, while the older 150gr RN is zeroed at 100 - so of course it drops A LOT more at 200. I suggest Hornady did that on purpose. What they should have done - what I've done - is zero that 150gr RN/FP at at 150-175 yards, that way you're only 3 or so inches low at 200. Of course, then their new bullet wouldn't have had quite as much shine on it, would it?

I think it accurate to say that the new Hornady ammo gives a performance boost at the 30-30's outer limits; at likely ranges, I don't think it makes much diff. I've not used it.

Hey, killed me a buck this morning with my new (to me) 30-30 Marlin; load was 150gr Corelokt. I'm jazzed.
