As long as you understand all that is involved in what your doing you'll be ok.
Just make sure the gauges you use are the correct ones for the job.

Eldeguello is right since the '06 is the parent cartridge for the other 2.
I looked in Brownell's catalog and the stock numbers are the same for the .35Whelen and the '06.
