I use the exact setup as you do with the
exception of a low power 2-7x scope on my
30-30. I live in Florida where most shots
are well under 100 yards and most of those
are less than 50. Use the 30-30. You never
know when you'll need that extra 25 yards.
I only use the mossberg when hunting no rifle
areas. I like the low power scope on the 30-30
to pick holes through the brush.
