wow boltman lol <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote<font size=1 face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> A shotgun is a poor choice for deer unless you're using buckshot under 40 yds.<hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face='Verdana, Arial, Helvetica' size=2 id=quote> ??? Tell that to the 15 or so deer Ive taken with one at all kinds of distances and only once have I had to shoot more than once at any particular deer.

first off a shotgun (slug gun) is a great weapon for taking deer or even Grizzly Bears for that matter lol and my LAST choice for ammo would be buckshot

kodiak I am not familiar too much with 3030s but I will tell you that 75 yards is getting out there very close to the maximum for a smoothbore shotgun as far as accuracy. I would guess the shotgun would have more knockdown power at ranges under 75 yards tho....its awful hard to beat the power of a 1 or 1.25 ounce chunk of lead at short ranges. I grew up using slug guns in Ohio so the shotgun would be a natural first choice for me

** I almost got him but I refuse to take a marginal shot **
