Yeah this one was just kickin it into high gear or about to. His tarsals were soaking wet and I could smell him from about 20 yards away, no lie. His neck was pretty big too. He had made 3 fresh scrapes 2 days before that something was peeing in, so I guess they're gettin ready. My buddy shot a nice 6 point this afternoon down here in Auburn on the national forest and it wasn't even close to starting to rut.I never see em going into rut this soon in Randolph county where I hunt, but that buck I shot was getting primed.
