DE Waterfowl Hunting
Boy are the Geese (Canada's and Snows) down around the Bombay Hook and Woodland Beach areas. My Dad and I hunted 12/7 and each got our 1 Canada Goose limit. Could have shot plenty of times but there were so many geese, we were able to wait for good close shots. The snows wouldnt get any lower than 80yds though, so no shots at them. Heck I only put a dozen Snow Dekes out. I was out the week before and put out the whole spread (200+) and they never gave them second look. Pretty much going to get the 1 Canada and maybe ducks.
Speaking of Ducks, they pretty much disappeared. The pond on the farm froze solid as well as the timber that was flooded so I figure they were on the salt marshes or the headed south.
The Feds were out in force Saturday. I saw them with hunters lined up at 3 different fields. We didnt get checked, thank god, because my liscence was on my backpack I use for Deer hunting at home.<img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> I had the Carbon of the Liscence and my Fed Stamp in my wallet, but still no HIP Number or State stamp (both on liscence). Wouldnt have wanted to pay that ticket.
Anybody else kicking the sh*t out of geese in DE?
