Any basic bow will do. Don't get too fancy.. you will be rough on this bow if you use it much. Shooting mullet you don't need a heavy bow, but if you go for bigger fish like sharks (taking deep shots with needed penetration).. I'd shoot a c-c-c-compound.

Do yourself a favor and get a retriever reel. Go ahead and get the slotted model so you can handle that monster ray that you accidentally happen upon. Shoot 400lb fastflite line and Muzzy heads. Make sure you use the AMS slides on your shafts for safety purposes... they prevent snapbacks which have proven deadly to shooters.

Used compound..$75 Retriever..$65 3 Muzzy tipped arrows..$30 400lb FastFlite line..$15 And you are set.
