I have never used a sleeping bag in stand when hunting, but used to regularly use my sleeping bag while driving an M1 tank during winter field exercises when in the Army in Germany in the early 90's. Had to stay warm some how while driving open hatch down the autobahn, etc...I am sure that you could find a sleeping bag of at least a lighter color or one closer to matching the tree that you were in. There is always dye as well.
