On a side note, we didn't field dress the deer I got last year because I planned on mounting it. When we field dress in the woods, especially when it is killer cold like it was last year, we usually hurry it. However, we did not want to cut any higher than we had to so we damaged as little cape as possible. He might have had the same idea, but I don't know.
