All I could say is from squirrels to moose is a pretty big jump . Have you ever thought of just buying another rifle if and when you decide to go moose hunting .Don't make a lot of sense to get your behind kicked for ten or twenty years on targets and squirrels just to say your ready for moose .Forget the 300 would be my suggestion .
