Default RE: Flash pan Load

I use 3f when hunting and like the others, fill the pan about half-way. Something a couple of old-timers I know showed me was while hunting, just before the shot, flick your wrist and gun quickly to the right (I am right-handed, shoot right-handed) as this clears the touch hole from any powder that may have lodged up against it. Seems to be effective. Couple other things when hunting I like to do is change the primer every once in awhile, especially as the air dampens towards evening. I've also taken to using a paper clip (fits better than my vent pick) to clear that hole real well prior to shooting (may not be able to while hunting, but I've noticed when shooting the gun to clear it at the end of the day pricking the hole makes the ignition seem instantaneous). I'm still on a learning curve, but these seem to help me.
