and why is the end of the dropper always black/brown kinda looks like pine tarr? or is that just velvet?

really? it seems that most if not all droppers i have seen have it ??
but do you know what it is?
the drops i`ve seen have never had that black mass but in photos it seems like the bigger the drop the more likely it is to be dark,my guess would be ...I`m not going to guess
