Rifle Season opened on Wednesday. A cold front came in on the same day, and ended up staying for the rest of the week. But my wife had a rifle, either sex tag in her pocket, and we're going out regardless of the weather. We ended up seeing 10-20 deer per sit, but they were mostly immature bucks, and anterless deer. It was a weird season, and big bucks seemed invisible. But that's why they call it hunting.
On the 3rd day of the hunt, after watching nearly 20 deer go by the stand, my wife Casi, decided to shoot a mature doe.And she(My Pride and Joy)made an excellent double-lung shot at 120 yards, and the deer dropped in it's tracks. A good way to help the management in the area, and fill the freezer.
