1224, in general, just about every area needs the does thinned. I don't know who you tried to contact but I would suggest that you focus your aim to the biologists. What is Indiana's balance currently? Do they do an EAB program?
Indiana is currently experiencing an explosion in it's antlerless population , especially in the Southern tier , hence the liberal antlerless bonus licenses . No , we don't have EAB ,but probably should . Our DNR has repeatedly stated that they do not and will not engage in trophy management practices , public opinion notwithstanding . Since we got stuck with a silly one buck rule to pacify the trophy hunter wannabes it wouldn't be a bad idea to make them earn their buck to help the state with their management goalsIMO.
