I love and appreciate a beautifully made wood stock....but I admire the practicality of synthetic....not only for the utilitarian job it performs without worry of changing POI when wet or with temp changes, but also for the ease of maintanence when you hunt in the slop. I'm in the process of putting together a stable of "pretty guns" and "worker guns" for hunting in fair or foul weather. Best of both worlds.
