I am a flint lock smoothbore shooter at heart and was going to buy an inline this year and bought another flinter. Don't ask me why... it's just the way things happen sometimes. I've always wanted a Jaeger from my rendevous days, and know I have one that I can hunt with conicals with. This one is rifled with a 1 in 24" twist, which I figured will shoot conicals pretty damn good. I have been paying attention to what everyone is suggesting for the .50 cals. but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good conical or sabot for a .54. i figure ill be shooting 80-100 grains and would like open sight shots up to 100 yards. I also like to knock the snot out of deer with my guns so I want something that has 100 yard range and hits hard.
