RE: 10-gauge
I have tried Brownings BPS, Gold and Remingtons SP10. Stay away from the BPS, it is long, heavy, kicks like a mule, and very hard to operate. The gold is a nice looking gun, a little on the long side but comfortable to shoot. It is finicky, if you are shooting reloads they have to be made perfectly. The SP10 is by far the best 10 guage I have used. The stock is short, it is the quickest to point, simplest to take down and put back together, it will shoot anything you feed it and the recoil is managable. These are the only makes I know of. The BPS is a lot cheaper than the other two but it will make you never want to shoot a 10ga again. The 10ga is a heavy gun with a heavy recoil compared to the 12ga but it is nothing you can't handle. It is a great goose gun but it would not be my choice for ducks. Both my SP10's have 30 inch barrels but if I bought another one I would go with the 26 inch.
