Default RE: deer drives

ORIGINAL: Hiawatha

Whenever we chase bluffs we do not yell, clap or anything. We just walk with the wind and step on the odd stick. Deer end elk walk right out the back. Haven't tried pushing for archery yet but someday i imagine we will. Of course the animal has to be stopped, draw, whistle/grunt and fire.
Exactly right.
If you use the wind to drive the deer instead of 40 people and noisemakers a drive can be very productive and deer can be taken with a bow. Plus, if you are driving with that many people then the deer will be hauling butt on the way out and there will be plenty of gut shots.

I support driving deer, dog hunting, etc...(as long as lega).. but we must all use a little common sense. A deer drive on public land on opening morning is not a good idea.
