PA 8-point with pic
I sat in my tree stand on opening day (Monday) and freezed my butt off for a while. At 8:05 I tried the grunt call. 10 minutes later I catch movement over my right shoulder. Very tough position for a right handed shooter. It was a buck. I counted points which would be easier if the deer would stand still. Luckily he was headed right for me. I twisted around and got into position. He got into a small clearing at about 50 yards. The 300 Weatherby barked and the Barnes XLC bullet entered at the top of the base of the neck, in between the shoulders and diagonally through the chest. It exited on the bottom of the ribs on the other side. The deer dropped in its tracks and that was all she wrote.
