Default RE: Where to hunt?

face it, cheap places to hunt are disappearing faster then a plate of brownies at a weight watcher convention. It used to be easy to find good hunting. That's not the case anymore. Sometimes buying property in an area with a large amount of public land is the way to go. While you have to share the land, at least you have property close and can do a lot of pre season scouting. The trouble is, this is the case in many places and people are now charging out landish prices for worthless property near public lands.

leasing property is now becoming the way to go. The best way is to get a group of sportsmen you can GET A LONG WITH. Set rules as to who can and can not hunt, and then lease large tracts. It does produce good results, but the long term ownership effects are not there.
