Where I hit him? Well, that is a bit of a mystery to me..not where I hit him but the drop in my arrow. When I grunted and he stopped he was approx 20 yards from me. I have practised and practised my distances (I have even set my scent pads out at 10- 15 - 20 - 30 so I had something to judge my shots from). When I drew back I marked mid body vitals and released. My arrow nicked the back of the elbow joint of his front leg (that's where the limp came from) entered through the ribs travelled through both lungs and exited about the same spot it was a good vitals shot but I could not beleive how low my shot was as it was not intentional? He only travelled approx 60-70 yards before he dropped (I think he dropped I was a little excited). I can only attribute the drop in my shot to "Buck Fever". I still cant find my broadhead or the shaft only the the top six inches. I have only been that excited once before and that was when I was 15 and took my first deer with a rifle.
