Default RE: Marlin .30-.30 with or without scope

It is all a matter of personal preference. I originally had an old Glenfield fixed 4x32 scoped on my Marlin 30AS, but it broke and lost its "zero", so I took it off. Now I just use the plain open sights and have gotten used to them. It's a lot quicker, snappier, and easier handling, IMHO.

Here's how my Marlin 30-30 looked with the 4x32 scope on a low Weaver base.

Here's how my Marlin 30AS 30-30 looks now (kind of "plain jane" but I like it)
