even though i got lucky saturday,for being in the woods 6 days hard without leaving for lunchsaw only about 3 lone does,when i usually see at least 3 to 4 does at a time.anway last monday i saw a nice rack buck,looked like an 8too thick to now for sure.spooked out of hiding and just walked deeper into swamp and dissapeared.tried to sneak up from behind him since friday and he wasnt home untill saturday.about 12 saturday heard the dogs at the house barking,more than normal.so i was about 30 yards from were i saw him last and decided to go after him instead of waiting for him which i know never would have happened.so i made my way very slowly and i thought my eyes werer tricking me he was standing in the swamp motionless.didnt know i was there wacked him hard in the lung and dropped in his tracks.didnt know howw big until i got down the mountain.it was only about 70 yards but straight down.it was a decent size 6 point about 14-15 inch spread,real thick at the base.
