I bought a solid steel ramrod the other day. It's the only one I liked enough. It's too long though and I can't cut it. It only comes as short as that. I don't mind it that way(about an inch past the barrel), but I was wondering why they're all even with the barrel--other than looks. Is there a technical reason? Sorry if that was a stupid question. Would you keep the ramrod?
