I have killed boatloads of deer with the vanilla version of the 270 and if you are looking to avoid meat damage....look elsewhere The 130's are a traumatic event for the meat to say the least. A 270 Win is an awesome round and the wsm version looks to be just a little more of a great thing but as far as not damaging the meat...hehehehehe...yeah right.
