If money savings is the only object I believe the cost of the reloading equipment needs to be considered

My loads are running:

Bullets 10 cents each
primer 2 cents each
powder 7 cents each
brass, depends on if I buy new, which is usually not the case, as I am getting 5 rounds + per case, and I pick up once fired .223 brass all the time at the range.

So, about 19 cents per shot, just under 4 bucks per box.
