Nice work skeeter

JD have you used ground blinds alot in the past for archery? I used one quite a bit a few years ago while archery mule deer hunting south of stoon and i wasn't impressed. It was a homemade contraption with slough grass woven into heavy cement type wire. I thought it looked pretty good but the deer would always seem to shy away from it, well the big ones anyway. I was just wondering if guy's you know have alot of success with those pop up styles like the doghouse or whatever. They look a little better than a clump of slough grass and are handier but do the deer pick them out in the woods also? Where i was using the blind it was pretty open so maybe if it was in the bush would have been harder to pick up. I have heard of some deer walking by and looking in the window to see if anyone is in it, possibly they get used to them. I just wondered what your thoughts on the blinds were i have mixed feelings. Seems like a guy can pick them up anywhere now even at home hardware. My bud uses one here for rifle hunting and really seems to like it except for the unreal wind we had one day sending the blind to the other end of the quarter lol.
