Default RE: Late season tactics?

Depending on the area your hunting cold weather, food sources, gun hunting and snow can dictate deer patterns. In some of my WI areas deer patterns do not change much but in others they change significantly. Personally I believe food availability is the main concern. Very cold weather can also change their location, albiet temporarily.

Calls and scents may or may not work. I usually stick to cover scents and "the can" call occassionaly as deer tend to be even more clannish in cold weather.

Scout....scout...scout is the best advice. Really cold weather look for lowland swamps, hills-south and southeast faces. GOOD LUCK!
