My brother in law, Justin was called by a friend about a hog that was tearing up his pasture. Justin gathered his dogs and drove out to find it. After letting the first two dogs loose it wasn't long until they were on the trail. Justin heard one trying to catch and set loose a catch dog loose. As he came around the corner, one dog was being thrown through a fence, and another was tossed up 4 foot in the air. Then he went from trying to catch the hog to trying to save his dogs. After several stitches and 15 staples, Justin went to work and gathered more guys and dogs. (And something more than a pair of hobbles)
Later that night they set out to find him again. They worked the dogs around the same area until one began barking. Justin and his friend Trent went in with the catch dogs. Trent was the first to see the hog and when he stepped back and said "Oh $%#*" They set the catch dogs loose. Two of the dogs caught the hog, and held on for dear life. The hog was about to kill the dogs and they knew there was no way that they would be able to tie the hog and let him live. That is when Justin told Robert to "shoot this thing before it kills the dogs." Robert shot him numerous times with a sidearm in the head. Thanks to Larry Paris and his lifesaving catch vests and cut collars, no dogs were killed.
