Rhody,

A ball puller, (just a screw that adapts to the 10/32 thread of your ram rod), should easily tap into the hollowpoint and help to pull it out by the muzzle. Bullet should pull free from the base going that way. My walmart is selling on clearance, a "ramrod set" for $1.50, which among four other things includes the ball puller. Also, a T-starter would be benefit if you don't have one. You can attach it to the other end of your ramrod and it will give you a better grip.

Sounds like you seated in fouling, so the easiest way out should be the way it went down. If you continue to have trouble, a solvent, water is the universal solvent, will be a benefit in softening the crud. Good luck.
