I really enjoy shooting my Legacy. I have a 28" draw with a string loop. I was a little reluctant to buy a Mathews at first. I'm glad I did. I really like the people on this forum. They'll rib you a little about your purchase, but they rarely "bash" or "flame." You should ask your wife to allow you to wrap your present. Then the wrapping configuration will be known only to you allowing you to wrap and unwrap your present discreetly and covertly if necessary. It isn't like she'll be able to hear you shooting it.
