RE: MQ1 to Mathews Legacy
I agree. I think you'll find that Mathews have sold more MQ1's than any other model during it's history.(but of course they won't tell you that as they want to promote their new stuff) I also dislike the stationary roller guide, and have mentioned before how I feel it adversely affects the limbs by adding prestress. The Legacy is definately quieter due to the added angle of the limbs in it's parallel design, but the MQ1 is more accurate due to it's extra ATA length,(more stability) plus it's faster to boot, regardless of what the advertised IBO speed is. I've shot both and have run both thru a chrono, and can say I would be much more apt to go out and shoot a 3D with the MQ1. This makes a better "all around bow" than the Legacy IMO, so it all boils down to what you are looking for. The Legacy is best-suited for hunting only, and seems to have gained quite a following just as the Q2 did before it. If it weren't for the stationary roller guide and the string supressors that IMO could be an accident waiting to happen, I feel it would make a nice hunting bow. But then again, that configuration would be the Q2, wouldn't it? Hmmmm....... <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>Just my own thoughts, Pinwheel 12
