I bought a ghillie suit kit once , it used a poncho cut piece of nylon netting for the base and dyed burlap strings . They can be extremely time consuming to construct , and rather heavy once completed , and they absorb odors quite easily .A Sleeping Indian style suit would be the way I'd go next time , you could use any old shirt and pants for the base and cut thin strips of $4 per yard camo fabric from the sewing section at your local Wal-Mart . A hot glue gun would speed up attaching the strips , and you can get one for very cheap at dollar stores .
