Good luck. I've done that trip myself a couple times and have many friends and family who have also done it many times. Timing is everything and if you hit it right you are in for quite the show. My advice is carry both the bow and rifle. There are all kinds of spots to set up an ambush for archery but you may also bump into a real trophy 175 yds away and the .308 will give you the choice of taking it or not. Don't shoot the first nice bull you see and drive carefully up there.
