My 11 year old got a PSE Sypder S4 for his birthday. Sunday was his first shots with his new bow. I gave him the basics (about all I know anyway!).

Our local Recreation Dept has an archery class (oylimpic/target style) Ten bucks for four one night classes. Two of his class mates or in it. After I talked with the instructor about what in the program, I'm going to sign him up. They will teach the proper form first. But, they will use recurves, untill they think he's ready to learn more. Then he can switch to his compound. Look around for local archery clubs they might have a kids program.
