RE: Shot the Hoyt Vectrix XL Last Night
Bols,
The shop I shot the bow at I also work at part-time, and I can assure you that the bow came already put together. So I know the shop did not put the string supressor on the bow. I do know this because I asked the owners if they had adjusted it this way and they said that is the way it came. Now I did see the 2 hex screws you spoke about and was going to mess with them the next time I get my hands on the bow.
One aspect I forgot to mention was the cam lean or should I say lack there-of. I did not notice any cam lean at all on the bow I shot, I also asked someone else to look at the cams while at full draw and they saw nothing also. Like I stated before I'm not real crazy about the finish but if I liked the bow enough I wouldn't let that stop me from buying it. I also purposely while at full draw tried to see how easily the cam wanted to pull back over and was happy to see that if you ever stop pulling with your back muscles or creep forward some while holding the bow at full draw, the cams do not want to roll back over very easily and rip the string out of your hands. I've had some bows in the past that if you creeped just a little the cams wanted to roll back over and I really hated that a lot.
