Just have fun. My son is about same age as yours. I only concentrate on safety with him now. He is getting better at shooting all the time. We'll place balloons on the target(that's always fun) and he really gets into placing bright orange stickers in the middle of bullseyes for the next days shoot. I even took him to a 3D shoot last year and he loved it. He would stand about 10yrds from target and nail it right in the vitals. P.S. as an incentive to hunt, I told him he would have to learn how to read first(he wants to hunt badly and is learning to read rather well--We read together everyday) I'm really proud of him. I also put silencers on his bow(so it's just like mine)
