RE: Shot the Hoyt Vectrix XL Last Night
I think if you look a little closer I believe there are two hex screws holding the Stealthshot in place.
I am pretty sure the dealer installs them as they come into the shop.
Can anyone verify my assumptions?
From what I saw of the bow - haven't shot it yet -I did notice the rough paint but not so much the flaws (white spots, bare metal, etc). But then again, I feel a little uncomfortable in my local Hoyt dealer, so I was there strictly to see the bow and get out.
I am planning on making a trip to a dealer up north to place my order and take care of my '07 bow needs.
Either way, I did draw the bow back. Noticed how smooth the draw was and how the serving and string seem to be higher quality. Does that mean after 1000's of shots they will hold up like aftermarket? Who really knows at this point. I am guessing they won't. Thecam lean seemed to be present as well. Butcenter shothas supposedlybeen fixed.
The FUSE String Shox were indeed a blend of last yearsand SIMS String leeches. Morph the two and you have the '07 String Shox.
The bow did feel a touch lighter. But then again, I am use to picking up a fully outfitted Trykon. So that is a rough guess.
In the end, I was a little surprised by the finish of the bow. But the draw cycle on the Vector camsseemed a touch above the Zephyr cams. No harsh breakover (even though I am used to the Trykon)
I am eyeing up an Vectrix XL for this year. It will be a great double duty bow, maybe even taking the place of the Trykon as my main hunting bow.
Before I make my decision I am going to shootthe crap out of alotof bows.
Until then, I am pleased with the Vectrix.
