Anything like this ever happened to you?
I recently obtained the hunting rights to about 1200 acres of prime Big Buck country in NW Texas from the person who owns the land. Some of this land is farm land and the landowner leases out the agriculture to an individual. This individual in turn and unknowingly to the landowner has been letting his son in law hunt on this place. So I am out hunting one afternoon and see a guy walking near me with a rifle and I go and ask him what the heck is he doing, and he asks me the same thing. He says he has permission to hunt here and is on his way to one of his stands, and his brother in law is on his way there as well. I say ok and I promptly leave to meet with the landowner and find out if they know anything about these other hunters. Naturally they have no idea that someone else is hunting there and they are chapped that the guy leasing the farming rights is letting people hunt there w/o their consent. So now these guys at the request of a very unhappy landowner spent a day dismantling groundblinds, feeders, and tree stands.
FYI: Be sure you know your supposed to be where you are hunting and dont just take someones word.
