RE: Deer hunting dog killers
Bow, good post and I understand where you are coming from to a degree. Admitting that you might shoot a dog is enough for me. I keep saying this but I don't think it is sinking thru to most on this thread. We do NOT want to shoot dogs. None of us are talking about shooting every dog that comes by our stand. I have already admitted it and I'll admit it again; it troubles me to think of shooting someone's family pet and I don't want to do it. But I'm willing to do it if I have to. Same thing with shooting someone breaking in my house. I don't want to but I will.
As for my post about the demise of hunting, I stand by that. This probably won't make sense to alot of folks and you'll think I'm crazy but I honestly believe this: we are slowly and methodically easing towards the anti's. I think alot of this has to do with the feminisation and "sensitivity" of today's man.(that will stir some feathers.lol) Seriously, I'm not saying we are all alot of fairies running around but think about it for a minute. The hardened man of long ago thought nothing of killing an animal. Do you think the pioneers of this land would think twice about shooting a dog that ruined a day of hunting? Heck no! Many hunters are against shooting coyotes because they aren't eaten, many are against trapping because it is "cruel" and on and on. This is how it happens. Look at the next few generations of hunters coming up. They have been taught lies by the liberal schools, tv, peta, etc, that guns are bad, hunting is wrong, anmimals have feelings, fishing is cruel, Jesus was a vegetarian. What else? Now dodge ball is banned in many schools, boys can't chase girls on the play ground, some gay purple dinosour is teaching them right from wrong, it is politically incorrect to say a cross word about someone if they are a female, gay, black, hispanic, Muslim etc. Drawing a gun or a knife on a piece of paper can get you expelled from school, so will playing cops and robbers or cowboys and Indians. Do I need to go on?
I know that these things aren't 100% true for every kid out there but they are the general rule now. More and more boys are being raised by their moms due to divorce, they have no male role model. How can alot of these boys help but become more "sensitive"?
Look this is waaay off the subject but you asked.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> I know most of you will think I'm crazy after reading this but I believe it to be true! If you don't believe me, just look at the hunting/gun freedoms we loose every year. I'm by no means a doom and gloom person, I'm just telling you what I honestly believe is happening. Mark my words, in 10 yrs the debate won't be over shooting dogs, coyotes, or trapping it will be over bird hunting, rabbit hunting and maybe even deer hunting? Again, I'm not talking about every person becoming this way, but alot will. It will slowly happen. Watch and see.
