TxCowboy, while I uderstand what you are saying, I point out one eliment that you have left out. "I" am speaking of pets. They are not the same IMHO because of the attachment and greif that will be inflicted. I have not elevated their worth but AM taking into consideration the feelings of other. REGARDLESS of who is to blame.

Would I shoot a pet of any sort that endangers me, my 6yr old daughter or any human? You bet your butt. We are not talking about that though now are we.

All I have asked for through this is for people to try to be creative and offer any alternatives. It appears none exist in the minds of the viewers here. Alas this conversation will continue to be a question of to kill or not to kill.
