RE: small game hunting with air rifle
I have a benjamin sheridan 392 .22 cal pellet rifle and Ill tell you what, I love it. I just bought a bushnell 3-9x40 scope for it and a b-square rail for pretty cheap, the rail was 31 bucks shipped from midsouth shooter supply and I shoot 14.3gr pellets out of it, great gun and a good amount of power, dont be discouraged by the 685fps it pumps out, its plenty, and Ive had this gun for a month and dropped quite a few squirrels no problem, they fell down dead. The only problem I have with it is the iron sights, they arent very good and the elevation screw on it fell off and I couldnt find it. These definitely need a scope, but for the money their great guns. I paid $110 for the gun, and bought a nice scope for about40 bucks. Overall, If you have a choice, buy a benjamin sheridan 392 .22cal, .22cals are better IMO, Ive had both. And am going to buy a gamo maxima with a scope soon in .177 cal.
