RE: Deer hunting dog killers

D) I have not seen ONE....NOT ONE (please point out if I missed it) decent alternative or creative suggestion other then killing the pet. Maybe one doesn't exist. I suggested a few early in the thread. I would think with all the hunters we have viewing / participaiting in this thread we could help each other out instead on focusing on to kill or not to kill. That question simply will not result in mass agreement.

I can't speak for everyone but I can myself, I have tried other alternatives like going to the owner and being nice with either being cursed out or told that if I didn't like it to hunt somewhere else. I have called the humane society and had the dog picked up only to see the dang thing a week later after the owner has gotten it out and let loose again. The problem is that owners who let their dogs roam free really DO NOT CARE what you and I as hunters think. The majority of them could care less if it ruins our hunt, heck some of them are glad cause they don't want to see us hunting anyways. I have been told that by an owner, not just making guesses here. There are two simple solutions, either shoot them or keep letting them ruin your hunt! If you like sitting on stand and watching deer start to come into your stand only to have dogs run them off, well, thats your waste of time, I'll not be so kind. Dogs are hunters and know when deer start to move, they don't happen by your stand at prime time just by chance!
